EU Laws Requirement Addressed

Yesterday evening I received the following message when checking in on The Professor's Write Site Blog presently published here on Blogspot.ca. TPWS was created and published in 2010 on Blogger.Com. I complied with all the Terms and Conditions requested by Google as the Controller of the Blogger, Blogspot site which hosts my blog.

When TPWS was published it appeared formerly and initially as a sub domain ending with Blogspot.com.Later Google unilaterally changed that to the current desigination of blogspot.ca. While unhappy with that change I still continued to maintain this site as I felt it was performing a much needed service to those who wanted it.

That there has been an increase in traffic and readership seems to bear the truth of that statement. For that I am deeply grateful to all of my readers.  Now back to the reason for this post.  Below I've decided to copy and republish the troubling notice which appeared on my dashboard and cause me to reply to it here in print.

First , Friends ,Visitors and Readers of this blog I present the Notification in question for your review and appraisal!

European Union laws require you to give European Union visitors information about cookies used on your blog. In many cases, these laws also require you to obtain consent.

As a courtesy, we have added a notice on your blog to explain Google's use of certain Blogger and Google cookies, including use of Google Analytics and AdSense cookies.

You are responsible for confirming this notice actually works for your blog, and that it displays. If you employ other cookies, for example by adding third party features, this notice may not work for you. Learn more about this notice and your responsibilities

Initially I found this notification quite alarming as printed on this posting. I felt those conditions as portrayed in that presentation had already been addressed.  To illustrate my position, I have decided to reprint my current policy and leave it here for all to see!

Please view the following notification as found on my legal page under TPWS's  Privacy Policy .

I sincerely hope this publication as printed here will address and satisfy any and all the conditions to allow those visitors from the European Union countries to enjoy the articles found here on TPWS.
